Documents required for a UAE Student Visa
To apply for a UAE student visa, ensure you have the following documents:
- Online Application Form: Complete and sign the online application form available on the UAE immigration portal.
- Passport Photos: Two recent passport-sized photos (51mm x 51mm), taken within the last three months. The photos should have a white background, with the applicant in dark clothing, showing a clear frontal view of the face. Ensure that eyebrows, ears, forehead, and chin are visible. For those in traditional attire, use a light blue background. Photos must be clear, unedited, and of high quality.
- Passport and Copies: Submit your original passport, along with photocopies of your current and previous passports, including pages with valid UAE residence visas (if applicable).
- Student Declaration Form: Complete and submit the student declaration form confirming your enrollment status and intention to study in the UAE.
- Bonafide Certificate: Provide a bonafide certificate issued by your educational institution in the UAE.
- Proof of Financial Support: Submit recent bank statements or a financial guarantee letter proving you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your studies in the UAE.
- Medical Insurance: Provide proof of valid medical insurance coverage for the duration of your stay in the UAE.
- Demand Draft: A photocopy of a demand draft for AED 5,500 made out in the student’s name, as per the visa processing fee.
- For Minors: If applying as a minor, include a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from both parents and a copy of the parent’s passport or Emirates ID.
- Approval from Relevant Authority: Obtain prior approval from the relevant authority in the UAE (e.g., the Ministry of Education, the university, or the embassy).
- Reference Form: Applicants from certain countries (such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan, etc.) may need to provide a reference form or additional background checks.
- Additional Documentation (for certain nationalities):
- A verbal note from the concerned embassy or consulate.
- Proof of employment of the student's sponsor (salary certificate or employment letter).
- A two-month bank statement from the student’s sponsor in the UAE to demonstrate financial stability.
